Octopus Beak Hook #8 - 50PCS

Octopus Beak Hook #8 - 50PCS

• Brand: Long Benefit
• Style: Octopus Beak (Suicide/Bait hook design)
• Size: 8/0 (An extra-large, heavy-duty saltwater size; noticeably wider across the bend than the 7/0)
• Quantity: 50 pieces per pack
• Material: Forged high-carbon steel with a corrosion-resistant dark nickel protective plating.

• Upswept Eyelet: The eye is bent backward at an aggressive angle. This enables snell knotting, which leverages the line directly against the shank to create a self-hooking hinge effect when a fish pulls away.
• Pronounced Offset Geometry: The hook point is twisted laterally away from the main shank. This ensures the razor-sharp needlepoint doesn't just slide out of a fish's mouth, but immediately bites into the lip or jaw corner.
• Thicker Wire Gauge: Built with a reinforced, heavy-duty wire diameter compared to smaller sizes. It is engineered to withstand immense pressure without flexing or straightening out under the weight of giant fish.
• Compact Deep-Gap Curve: The short shank matched with a massive, sweeping throat allows you to rig exceptionally large whole or cut chunk baits (like large mullet heads, whole squid, or large crab halves) while keeping the business end of the hook fully exposed.

• Large reef species like King Snapper, Grouper, and Amberjack
• Deep-drop species like Tilefish or Cod
• Heavy surf casting for Sharks, Rays, and trophy-sized Kob / Drum
• Massive river predators like trophy Blue and Flathead Catfish
